Customer Details

Overview

The Customer Details page provides a comprehensive view of an individual customer's loyalty program activity, including their points history, transaction timeline, statistics, and claimed rewards.

Accessing Customer Details

From Customers List:

  1. Navigate to Customers
  2. Find customer (search, filter, or browse)
  3. Click customer name or row

Direct Access:

  • Customer details are also linked from transactions
  • Customer references throughout the app are clickable

Customer Information

Profile Section

Basic customer information synced from Shopify:

Displayed Information:

  • Customer name
  • Email address
  • Shopify customer ID (linked to Shopify admin)
  • Account created date (shop anniversary)
  • Birthday (if provided)
  • Customer tier (if applicable)

Shopify Link:

  • Click Shopify customer ID to view customer in Shopify admin
  • Opens in new tab

Customer Statistics

Overview Statistics

Key metrics about the customer's loyalty engagement:

Example:

Customer: Sarah Johnson
Points Balance: 1,250

Total Points Earned: 5,000
Total Points Claimed: 3,750
Total Points Redeemed: 3,200

Spent to Earn Points: $10,000
Spent to Redeem Rewards: $2,500

Interpretation:
- Sarah has earned 5,000 points from $10,000 in purchases
- She's claimed 3,750 points worth of rewards
- 3,200 of those points have been redeemed (discounts used)
- 550 claimed points not yet redeemed (codes not yet used)
- Current balance: 1,250 points available

Time Series Charts

Visual representation of customer point activity over time.

Points Earned Over Time

Shows cumulative or period-based points earned.

Chart Features:

  • Line graph
  • Date range selector (30 days, 90 days, 1 year, all time, custom)
  • Hover for details on specific dates
  • Shows earning patterns and trends

Use Cases:

  • Identify purchase frequency
  • Spot seasonal patterns
  • Evaluate earning rule effectiveness per customer

Points Claimed Over Time

Shows cumulative or period-based points claimed for rewards.

Chart Features:

  • Line graph
  • Date range selector
  • Hover for details
  • Shows redemption patterns

Use Cases:

  • Track redemption frequency
  • Identify reward preferences
  • Measure engagement with rewards

Points Redeemed Over Time

Shows cumulative or period-based points actually redeemed through discount usage.

Chart Features:

  • Line graph
  • Date range selector
  • Compares claimed vs. redeemed

Use Cases:

  • Measure reward conversion (claimed → redeemed)
  • Identify unused discount codes
  • Track actual discount usage

Rewards Summary

Overview of customer's reward claims and redemption:

Example:

Total Rewards Claimed: 15
Total Rewards Completely Redeemed: 12

Interpretation:
- Customer has claimed 15 rewards
- 12 have been completely used
- 3 are either partially used or unused

Transaction History

Detailed chronological list of all customer transactions.

Transaction List

Each transaction displays:

  • Transaction type (e.g., Order, Signup, Reward Claim)
  • Points change (+/- amount)
  • Date and time
  • Description with relevant details
  • Links to related Shopify pages (orders, discounts, etc.)
  • Tags (e.g., retroactive, campaign)

Example Transactions:

1. Order #1234 → +500 points
   Date: June 1, 2024, 2:30 PM
   Link: View Order in Shopify

2. Birthday Reward → +100 points
   Date: May 15, 2024, 12:00 AM

3. Order Discount Claimed → -1,000 points
   Date: May 10, 2024, 4:15 PM

4. Order #1200 (Discount Redeemed) → +500 points (redemption credit)
   Date: May 11, 2024, 10:00 AM

Customer Actions

Manual Point Adjustment

Add or remove points manually for specific situations.

Access:

  1. Click Adjust Points button
  2. Adjustment modal opens

Configuration:

  • Point amount (positive or negative)
  • Reason for adjustment (required)
  • Internal note (optional)

Use Cases:

  • Goodwill points for service issues
  • Correct errors in point calculation
  • Promotional bonus points
  • Remove fraudulent points
