Overview

The Shop Anniversary Earning Rule automatically rewards customers with loyalty points on the anniversary of when they created an account in your store. This date-based earning rule celebrates customer loyalty milestones and encourages continued engagement year after year.

Points are awarded annually on the date of the customer's account creation, creating a meaningful touchpoint that recognizes their relationship with your brand.

Setup

  1. Navigate to Loyalty Program > Earn Points in the Keystone Loyalty Rewards App
  2. Select Shop Anniversary Earning Rule
  3. Toggle to Enabled
  4. Set the points value (e.g., 150 points)
  5. Click Save

Anniversary Date Determination

What is the "Account Creation Date"?

The shop anniversary is based on:

  • Date the customer account was created in your Shopify store
  • Account creation timestamp (when they signed up or their account was automatically created)

Daily Processing

The system runs a scheduled job every day to:

  1. Query all customers with anniversaries matching today's date
  2. Check if they've already received anniversary points this year
  3. Award points to eligible customers
  4. Record transactions
