Customers Page UI Extension

The Customers Page UI Extension adds a Keystone loyalty block to Shopify's native Customer page in your admin. It shows the customer's points balance, membership status and VIP tier right where you already handle support, and gives you the most common loyalty actions for that customer without leaving the page.

This one is for you, not your customers. Every other extension in this section renders on the storefront, at checkout or in the customer account. This block renders inside the Shopify admin, and only your staff see it.

Why It Exists

A customer's loyalty record lives on the Customers data page inside Keystone, but day-to-day support happens on Shopify's own Customer page. Without this block, checking a balance means leaving the customer you are looking at, opening the app, and finding that same customer again.

The extension closes that gap: the loyalty context sits next to the order history, contact details and notes you are already reading.

What the Block Shows

When you open a customer in Shopify Admin → Customers → [customer], the Keystone block renders with that customer's live loyalty data:

FieldWhat It Tells You
Points balanceThe customer's current available points, in your configured points label.
Membership statusWhether the customer is a member of your loyalty program.
VIP tierThe tier the customer currently sits in, or No tier if they have not reached one.

The values are read live from the customer's loyalty record - they are not a cached copy, and they match what the Customers data page shows for the same customer.

Available Actions

Open the actions menu on the block to run any of the following on the customer you are viewing. These mirror the More actions menu on the Customers data page.

Adjust Points

Manually add or subtract points from the customer's balance - a goodwill credit after a service issue, a promotional bonus, or a correction to a miscalculated earn.

As with any adjustment made in the app, a reason is recorded and the change is written to the customer's transaction history. See Adjustments.

Reset Points

Set the customer's balance back to zero. Used for corrections and fraud cases; it is a balance reset, not a program removal - the customer stays a member.

Extend Expiration

Push out the expiry date of the customer's points so a balance is not lost while a support case is still open. This affects the one customer you are viewing; the program-wide rule stays as configured in Points Expiry.

Update Birthday

Set or correct the customer's birthday. Useful when a customer typed the wrong date, or gave it to support instead of entering it themselves, so birthday-based earning can fire correctly.

Opening the Full Record

The block includes a link through to that customer's record on the Customers data page in Keystone. Use it when you need more than the summary - the full balance breakdown (points earned, claimed, redeemed, spend) and the complete transaction history.

The block deliberately does not duplicate that page. It carries the values you need at a glance and links out for everything else.

Rules and Behavior

  • The extension matches the Shopify customer you are viewing to their Keystone loyalty record and displays that customer's live values.
  • Every action applies to the currently viewed customer only. There are no bulk actions in the block - use the Customers data page for those.
  • Where an action or a feature depends on your plan, availability follows your plan. VIP tier status, for example, only appears if your plan includes VIP Tiers.
  • The block lives inside Shopify's admin extension surface, so it follows that surface's layout and capabilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Shopify Plus?

No. This block renders on the standard Shopify admin Customer page.

Can customers see this block?

No. It is an admin surface - only staff with access to your Shopify admin see it.

Does it replace the Customers data page?

No. It is a summary plus quick actions; the full record, breakdown and history stay on the Customers data page, which the block links to.

Are actions taken here recorded?

Yes. Point adjustments and resets create transaction records exactly as they do inside the app, so the audit trail is the same wherever you made the change. See Transactions.

Why does a customer show no tier?

Either they have not reached your first tier yet, or your plan does not include VIP Tiers. See VIP Tiers.

Can I act on several customers at once?

Not from this block. Bulk adjustments are done from the Customers data page. See Adjustments.
