Thank You Page Extension
The Thank You Page Extension adds a "Points earned recap" block to your store's order confirmation (Thank You) page. Right after completing a purchase, customers see how many points they just earned on that order, why they earned them, and their updated points balance and VIP tier - turning the moment of highest purchase excitement into a loyalty touchpoint.
Works on all Shopify plans. Unlike the Checkout UI Extension, the Thank You page block does not require Shopify Plus. Any store can add it, making it the easiest way to bring your loyalty program into the post-purchase experience.
What Customers See After Purchase
When a logged-in customer completes an order, a celebratory highlighted card appears on the Thank You page showing:
Points Earned on This Order The exact number of points earned from the purchase, displayed prominently (e.g., +180 Points). The figure always comes from the actual points transaction - it is never an estimate, so it always matches the customer's ledger.
Why They Earned Them A short breakdown explaining how the total was calculated:
- The order earning rule (points for the order value)
- The VIP tier multiplier, if one applied (e.g.,
Gold tier bonus: x1.5 points) - Campaign bonus points from any active campaigns
- Any additional earning rules that applied to the order
Current Balance & VIP Tier Below a divider, the customer sees their updated points balance and their VIP tier badge, so they immediately know where they stand in the program.
Note: The block is display-only. Customers cannot claim rewards or spend points on the Thank You page - it is designed purely to celebrate the earn and reinforce the program. To let customers redeem rewards, use the Customer Account UI Extension or Checkout UI Extension.
The "Calculating Your Points" State
Points are awarded shortly after an order is paid, so when the Thank You page first loads, the points may still be processing. In that case the block shows a spinner with a "Calculating your points..." message and automatically updates to the real figure once the points land - usually within a few seconds. The customer never sees a wrong or estimated number.
Setting Up the Thank You Page Extension
Step 1: Add the Block in the Checkout Editor
- Go to your Shopify Admin → Settings → Checkout.
- Click Customize to open the checkout & accounts editor.
- In the top navigation, switch the page selector to the Thank you page.
- Click Add app block and select Points earned recap from Keystone Loyalty Rewards.
- Drag the block to your preferred position on the page.
- Click Save to publish your changes.

Step 2: Configure the Block Settings
The block keeps configuration intentionally simple. You can adjust the following settings directly in the checkout editor:

Visibility Rules
The block automatically decides when to render, so it never shows broken or empty content:

Plan Availability
The Thank You Page Extension is available on the Starter plan and above. It is not included on the Free plan. During a trial, the feature is automatically enabled so you can try it before subscribing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need Shopify Plus to use this extension?
No. The Thank You page block works on all Shopify plans. This is different from the Checkout UI Extension, which is limited to Shopify Plus stores by Shopify itself.
Do customers need to be logged in?
Yes. The recap is tied to the customer's loyalty account, so guests who check out without a customer account will not see the block.
Can the number shown differ from what the customer actually earned?
No. The block reads the earned amount and its breakdown directly from the actual points transaction for that order, so what the customer sees always matches their points history.
What if the points take longer than usual to process?
The block polls for the result for about 30 seconds while showing the "Calculating your points..." state. In the rare case points take longer, the customer can always see their updated balance in their loyalty dashboard afterwards - the points are never lost.
Can customers claim rewards from the Thank You page?
No, the block is display-only by design. Reward claiming is available in the Customer Account UI Extension, the Checkout UI Extension (Shopify Plus), and the storefront widget.
Is the block translated?
Yes. All customer-facing copy runs through the extension's translation catalogue and follows your configured languages. See Dynamic Translations for details.
Is it mobile-friendly?
Yes. The card is fully responsive and fits naturally into the Thank You page layout on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
